ABOUT THE ARTIST
My name is Verena Pührer and I was born in 1977 in Linz, Austria.
After completing my university studies, I worked in the health sector for a long time. Already at that time, Fine Art Photography was – besides my love for horses – one of my great passions.
I live and work in the industrial city of Linz, Upper Austria, as well as in the Woodland Province of Lower Austria.
In this mystical woodland region I spent a lot of time in my childhood, so this place still gives me power and inspiration, which find its way into my art work.
This early time of my life shaped me in my dealings with nature and into the person who I am.
MY STUDIO
My studio is wherever I have my camera with me. My brush is the camera, my canvas is the memory card.
I prefer to be in lonely places that may seem unspectacular. Surrounded by nature, away from the hustle and bustle of civilisation.
When I am out and about with my camera, I let my intuition guide me. I do not actively search for the motives, I am found by them.
When it comes to pressing the shutter button, I am in control of the interplay of light, movement and inner focus, all united in a unique moment of perfect harmony.
